) Birds nests... in those zen moments when I concentrate on thinking like a bird, I crochet outside the box in an attempt to create a nest. All nests are one of a kind and employ various threads and natural materials (twigs, grass, cones, etc.) in their making. Each comes with three small quail eggs and can be ordered in three different tones: greens of the field; gray, black, and chocolate of bark; golden browns of the hedgerow. $16 each. is in my nature to scavenge. While walking the dog, lichen cones
and acorns find their way into my pockets. Antiquing and travel
have resulted in hordes of jars, boxes etc, filled to the brim
with the mundane and bizarre, lining my studio walls. Eventually
these bits and pieces become mixed and repurposed into assemblages,
altered books and shadow boxes with new stories to tell."
